Margaliot leader urges harsh response after ceasefire in fight with Hezbollah

Eitan Davidi, the head of Moshav Margaliot, reacted sharply to the ceasefire announced in the fighting with Hezbollah after four IDF soldiers were killed. He said Israel should “shake all of Lebanon,” and argued that the response must be severe.

Davidi called on the Israeli government to “act with disproportionate force against all the actors in Lebanon and Hezbollah.” He added that harm to IDF soldiers cannot be met with silence.

In his words, “Any harm to IDF soldiers, Lebanon’s soil must burn, that must be the equation.” The remarks were made in the context of the ceasefire and the deadly incident involving the four soldiers.
