President Donald Trump sent a message overnight to Israelis amid the political storm over the emerging nuclear agreement with Iran. In a special interview with Kan News, he tried to ease deep concern in Israel’s security and political leadership and urged public support for the deal he is advancing.
Trump said, "We removed the central threat," and added that Israelis should support an agreement with Iran because, in his words, "we removed the central threat and Iran will no longer have nuclear weapons." He framed the deal as eliminating the core danger posed by Tehran’s nuclear program.
One of the most sensitive issues for Israeli officials is the fate of Iran’s enriched uranium stockpiles, which Tehran has already accumulated and enriched to high levels. Asked about that point, Trump replied, "It is very unimportant, it is buried safely underground and at the right time we will get it."
His comments were aimed at calming fears in Jerusalem and building support for the agreement despite lingering anxiety over what remains of Iran’s nuclear material. The interview comes as debate intensifies over the deal’s implications for Israel and regional security.
