The Rebbe of Tolados Moshe led a strengthening assembly in Beit Shemesh for members and supporters of the Hasidic court, where attendees heard a central address on current spiritual challenges. The event focused on encouragement and awakening, with the Rebbe speaking about serving God faithfully and with devotion in these times of "the footsteps of the Messiah."
He stressed that every individual’s religious service is extremely important, and warned against becoming distracted by reading newspapers or listening to "news lines," which he said weaken and cool a person’s inner feeling toward God. He also called for greater attention to interpersonal obligations, saying this period needs strengthening in matters between אדם לחברו.
On helping another Jew, the Rebbe said no calculations should be made about whether the person "deserves it" or not, but that one should help with complete sincerity because the Torah commands, "Love your fellow as yourself." Speaking at the gathering were his son, Rabbi Shaul Yechizkel Gross, and the community’s posek in Beit Shemesh, Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Pappoer, who also addressed the audience.
After the speeches, the crowd danced and sang "Lev tahor bara li Elokim" for many minutes, and afterward the Hasidim filed past the Rebbe to receive his blessing.
