Hapoel Tel Aviv is set to begin preseason training next week, with Jonatan Perber, who arrived from Hapoel Haifa, currently its only new signing. The club still wants to add more players before the season begins.
Young midfielder Al Yam Kancpolski may ask to leave on loan because he wants more minutes and a larger role. This season he played only 426 minutes in the Premier League and the State Cup. Hapoel Tel Aviv says he remains part of the squad and is not currently discussing his future.
Kancpolski is competing for the defensive midfield role with Andrian Kraev, considered one of the league’s best in that position, and with Falcao, who had a strong season. If another club promises him a meaningful place in its midfield, he could seek a loan move. For now, he is expected to report with Hapoel Tel Aviv for training.
Separately, Hapoel Tel Aviv will learn its opponent today at 15:00 in the second qualifying round draw for the Conference League. It has been 12 years since the club last played in European competition.
