Beitar Jerusalem defender Luca Gadani gave an uncertain update on his future in an interview from Kazakhstan, where he reflected on the club’s season and his next steps. He said European competition is always a major target for a club like Beitar, and while the team also wanted to challenge for the league title, finishing second and qualifying for the Europa League was, in his words, “definitely a good result.”
Asked whether he will stay for the coming season, Gadani said he currently has an active contract with Beitar, but added that “in football you can never know for sure what will happen tomorrow,” and said the situation would become clearer over the summer.
He was then asked about possible offers, including from Kazakhstan, where he previously played for Kairat. Gadani confirmed there is interest, but said he is fully focused on rest and preparing for the new season. He added that he has “a very good impression” of Kazakhstan and its league, but did not want to discuss specific offers at this stage.
Comparing the Israeli and Kazakh leagues, he said the Israeli league is faster and more intense, while the average quality of foreign players is higher in Kazakhstan and mistakes are punished more severely. He also noted that Kazakhstan still has strong teams and a good competitive level.
