Gottlieb Joins Ben-Gvir's Otzma Yehudit Party

Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, chairman of the Otzma Yehudit party, welcomed the addition of Knesset Member Tally Gottlieb to his party on Tuesday. Ben-Gvir presented Gottlieb as someone who has proven herself a determined fighter for right-wing positions during her tenure in the Knesset.

In a joint statement, Ben-Gvir stated, "They wanted to silence Tally and shut her mouth. It wasn't pleasant for Gali Baharav-Miara and other elements that Tally was active. She fought like a lioness in the plenum. I am proud she is with us." He described Gottlieb as someone who acts fearlessly, even when her positions are controversial, adding, "One can agree with her, one can disagree with her, but everyone knows that when Tally Gottlieb says something, it is clear she is saying her truth, exactly what she thinks, without fear, without confusion."

Ben-Gvir further characterized Gottlieb as a "true force multiplier," highlighting her efforts against the "deep state" and in support of the Prime Minister and the right-wing agenda. He stated the current goal is to work together to strengthen the right-wing government and implement a determined right-wing policy.

Gottlieb explained her decision to join Otzma Yehudit as a move to strengthen the national camp. "I want to preserve the right-wing bloc, and I joined Otzma Yehudit to ensure that the bloc and the government remain right-wing, without looking to [Benny] Gantz and other places," she said.
