Palestinian Police Arrest Suspect in Kidnapping of Mother and Daughter
Palestinian police announced on Thursday the arrest of a suspect in the kidnapping of a woman and her daughter from their workplace in the Kafr Aqab area. The pair were subsequently moved to the Jifna area, north of Ramallah. The General Investigations unit of the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate conducted the search and investigation that led to the apprehension.
Police spokesperson, Brigadier General Loay Arzeikat, stated that one suspect has been brought in and detained, with legal proceedings underway. The incident occurred on Wednesday when the mother and daughter were abducted from their workplace and taken to Jifna. Police initiated an investigation immediately, leading to the arrest on Thursday.
The mother sustained varying injuries during the abduction and received necessary medical treatment before being transported to the Palestine Medical Complex. The extent of her injuries and the condition of her daughter were not detailed by the police spokesperson.
