Netanyahu Declares Mount Ali Taher Area Cleared of Threats

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the Israeli military's completion of operations in the Ali Taher mountain range in southern Lebanon as "great tidings," asserting that the area no longer poses a threat to Israel. He stated that the infrastructure in the mountains was built as an extension of the Beaufort Castle, serving as a strategic site intended not only to harass Kiryat Shmona and Metula but also to plan for the occupation of the Galilee. Netanyahu added that "a very large number of militants were eliminated there," and declared, "Mount Ali Taher no longer threatens us."

The operation aimed to clear the strategic mountain range, which the prime minister indicated was developed to be a significant military outpost. The Israeli military's success in neutralizing the threat from this location was highlighted by Netanyahu as a major achievement.
