Grand Rabbi of Sanz-Klausenburg to Lead Selichot Prayers in Jerusalem

Thousands of Hasidim and Torah scholars are expected to gather in Jerusalem for Selichot prayers led by the Grand Rabbi of Sanz-Klausenburg. The Rebbe, currently in Israel to strengthen educational institutions of the Sanz-Klausenburg Hasidic dynasty, will officiate the pre-dawn service on Sunday. He will lead the prayers and deliver a traditional sermon, urging repentance and preparation for the High Holy Days.

The event will take place at the main synagogue of the Biala Hasidic community in Jerusalem. Organizers are preparing the venue, including galleries and adjacent rooms, to accommodate thousands of attendees, including other rebbes, rabbis, and community leaders. Special sections are designated for men, students, and women.

The Rebbe's sermon will be broadcast live to Sanz-Klausenburg communities in the United States, where followers will gather to listen. Organized transportation will be provided from various Hasidic centers across Israel. The gathering is anticipated to be a spiritually uplifting experience for the Hasidic community as they approach the new Jewish year.
