Hotovely’s Appointments Draw Criticism: ‘She’s Only Thinking About the Entourage’
Exclusive: Sources in the National Public Diplomacy Directorate, which has been operating since the start of the war without a permanent head, told Channel 13 News this evening (Tuesday) that the former minister Tzipi Hotovely, who has recently taken over the directorate, is mainly focused on “staffing positions in her close circle, consultants, a driver and aides.”
Hotovely responded to the report, saying: “Things take time. דווקא in this challenging period, the need for experienced professionals is more important than ever. Since I took office, I have been working to fill positions in the public diplomacy directorate, which operated for a long time without a head. Some appointments take time, tenders take time, but the need for an entourage is understandable and natural.”
