Home Front Command Honors Fallen Soldiers, Vows Continued Fight

The annual ceremony honoring the fallen soldiers of the Home Front Command took place yesterday, Wednesday, at the Rehavam base. The event was led by the Command's chief, Major General Ori Gordin, and attended by bereaved families.

During the ceremony, the reopening of the command's memorial and heritage site was also marked. "Here we will ensure that their legacy will not remain merely engraved in stone, but will continue to be a moral compass and a source of strength," stated Major General Gordin. He added, "We are in a historic and decisive war, a war like no other. The campaign is not over and the mission is not yet complete, we will continue to stand guard for the freedom and victory of Israel."

Malka David, mother of the fallen soldier Aviel David, representing the bereaved families, delivered an emotional address. "The shared pain that unites us all makes us one family," she said. "Dear soldiers and commanders, continue in our stead and in memory of our loved ones the path of the fallen. Your actions are an integral part of the resilience of Israeli society."
