Ness Ziona Rabbis Honor City Rabbi's 30 Years of Service

The annual gathering of synagogue sextons, or gabbaim, in Ness Ziona, held ahead of the Rosh Hashanah holiday, this year celebrated the 30th anniversary of the city's chief rabbi, Rabbi Avraham Tzuri'el's tenure. The event, which took place at Vitrage Halls in the city, saw gabbaim from across Ness Ziona convene alongside rabbis, public figures, and community leaders.

Key attendees included former Minister Rabbi Yoav Ben-Tzur, Mayor Shmuel Boxer, Rabbi Tzion Cohen of Or Yehuda, Rabbi Shagi Har Shar of the Chabad community, Rabbi Yoram Yiftah, head of the "Ha'orot" institutions, and Rabbi Avraham Ohana, director of the local rabbinate's kashrut and marriage department.

The highlight of the evening was a special video summarizing Rabbi Tzuri'el's three decades of work for the city's residents, featuring blessings from the Chief Rabbis of Israel and the mayor. Mayor Boxer presented the rabbi with a token of appreciation on behalf of the city and its residents.

The event was hosted by Deputy Mayor and head of the religious culture department, Rabbi Eran Rafael, who spoke about the rabbi's dedication. The chairman of the local religious council, Rabbi Rachamim David, was unable to attend but sent his regards.

The gathering, organized by the municipal Department for Religious Culture and the Local Religious Council, fostered a festive atmosphere with musical performances and networking among the gabbaim in preparation for Rosh Hashanah.
