Azrieli Malls Launch Rosh Hashanah Shopping Spree With Gifts
Ahead of the Rosh Hashanah holiday, Azrieli Malls has unveiled a new promotion offering shoppers a NIS 50 gift card for purchases of NIS 399 or more, while supplies last. Additionally, ten NIS 2,500 gift cards will be raffled daily.
The promotion coincides with the release of a new survey conducted by Sapio Research, which examined Israeli holiday shopping habits. The survey found that 42% of Israelis plan to buy a gift for themselves, 39% for their partners, 36% for their parents, and 33% for their children. Home goods and decor are the most popular gift categories (32%), followed closely by perfume and clothing (31% each). Wine and alcoholic beverages are chosen by 27%, and gift cards by 25%.
When it comes to gift selection difficulties, 20% find it hard to choose a gift for a partner, and 14% struggle with gifts for parents. The survey also indicates that holiday shopping is viewed as more than just a chore, with 50% seeing it as a combination of task and leisure, and 15% viewing it primarily as leisure.
Regarding the potential NIS 2,500 prize, 63% of respondents would use the winnings for themselves, compared to 46% for partners, 41% for children, and 37% for parents. Clothing is the top choice for spending the prize money (47%), followed by home appliances and footwear (30% each).
Zvia Orenstein Kassen, VP of Marketing and Digital at Azrieli Group, stated that the promotion connects with the insight that many Israelis buy gifts for themselves during the holidays. The campaign, running from September 3rd to 8th, aims to allow consumers full choice for the new year, whether for fashion, home, family, or personal indulgence.
