Author Hadassah Ben Ari Shares Writing Challenges Amidst Family Life

Israeli author Hadassah Ben Ari, ex-wife of singer Hanan Ben Ari, has revealed the significant difficulties she faces balancing her writing career with family responsibilities. Ben Ari, who frequently shares personal moments on social media, described the emotional toll of having to interrupt her creative process at crucial junctures.

She explained that the most challenging moments in her writing occur when she must leave a scene mid-composition, even if it deeply affects her. These interruptions are often necessitated by domestic duties such as preparing lunch, preparing for Shabbat, or picking up her children, each of whom has their own 'scenes' or life events. Ben Ari concluded that there is no simple solution to this conflict, stating, "There is no solution, this is life."

Beyond her personal struggles, Ben Ari is also a writer, creator, and editor. Her debut children's book, "War of Heroes," which features stories of bravery from the recent conflict, was released in 2024. Her second book, "What Do You Know About Longing?" is scheduled for publication in 2025 and will explore the stories of women who lost loved ones in Israel's wars and the love they shared with their partners.
