Suspect in Kidnapping of 10-Year-Old Held Longer as Victim Recalls Trauma
A court in Petah Tikva extended the arrest of a suspect in the kidnapping of 10-year-old Yahli by six days, until September 8. A gag order on the suspect's name, photo, and details remains in effect until the next hearing.
During the court session, a police representative stated that investigators have not yet determined if the suspect harmed the child, as Yahli has experienced difficulty recalling the incident itself. The police representative added that the investigation was paused mid-session at the victim's request because he found it hard to continue due to the severity of the event.
The police are continuing their investigation into the kidnapping, which occurred in Petah Tikva. The suspect's identity is currently protected by a court order.
