Tom Haimov and Shahar Chernes, who met on the reality dating show 'Ahava Hadasha' (New Love), are set to marry on September 22. Their original wedding date in March 2026 was postponed due to a round of fighting, and the couple recently shared details of a challenging period they navigated.

During an appearance on the "Walla Ishi" podcast, Haimov and Chernes discussed a legal dispute with Haimov's business partner, intense rumors accompanied by phone harassment, and significant marital strain. Haimov spoke about the business complexities and his desire to leave the nightlife industry, citing a partner who seemed more interested in the benefits of the business than its success. He noted the need for a strategic exit due to invested funds.

Chernes admitted the events raised questions about their future, stating, "Obviously, there was the question of 'What is this? Did I make myself sick?'" She added that they discussed the kind of life they wanted, emphasizing the need for compatibility when building a home and family.
