Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef Advises Torah Study for a Good Life
Students from the 'Chayei Avraham' yeshiva in Bnei Brak, affiliated with the Ponevezh Yeshiva, visited the residence of Sephardic Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef to receive blessings ahead of the High Holy Days. Rabbi Yosef spent an hour with the students, encouraging them to persevere in their Torah studies day and night.
"People search for special merits to be saved and inscribed for a good life; this is the best advice," Rabbi Yosef stated, emphasizing that diligent Torah study is the most effective path. He also urged the students to be proud of their dedication to their בית המדרש (house of study).
At the conclusion of his address, Rabbi Yosef blessed the students, wishing them success in becoming halachic authorities in Israel. He also blessed the Rosh Yeshiva (head of the yeshiva) and the faculty, praying for their success in their sacred work and for them to see pride in their students' achievements.
