Maccabi Be'er Sheva announced on Monday night where it will stage its home matches in the European campaign. The Israeli champions, who will play in the Champions League qualifiers, chose Haladás Sportkomplexum in Szombathely, Hungary.
The club is due to learn its second qualifying round opponent on Tuesday. The stadium, which opened in 2017, is described as a modern venue with 8,900 seats.
Szombathely is about 130 kilometers from Vienna and Graz in Austria, and about 145 kilometers from Bratislava, Slovakia. In its statement, the club thanked Israel Football Association chairman Shino Zuares, association CEO Yariv Tepper, and the Hungarian Football Federation for helping finalize the hosting arrangement.
