Hapoel Be'er Sheva announced where it will stage its home matches in this season's European campaign, as the Israeli champions prepare for the Champions League qualifiers. The club will play at Haladás Sportkomplexum in Szombathely, Hungary.
The decision comes ahead of Tuesday's draw, when Be'er Sheva will learn its opponent in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. The venue is a modern stadium that opened in 2017 and holds 8,900 spectators.
Szombathely is about 130 kilometers from Vienna and Graz in Austria, and about 145 kilometers from Bratislava, Slovakia. In its statement, the club thanked Israel Football Association chairman Shino Zuares, association CEO Yair Tapper, and the Hungarian Football Association for helping finalize the arrangement.
Be'er Sheva's European home base will therefore be in Hungary for the qualifying campaign, with the team first waiting to see whom it will face in the next round.
