LivePerson Shareholders Approve Acquisition by SoundHound AI

LivePerson, a leading provider of conversational AI solutions, announced that its shareholders have approved the company's acquisition by SoundHound AI. The approval came during a special shareholder meeting held on Wednesday.

LivePerson, which processes nearly a billion messages monthly for global brands via its Conversational Cloud and Syntrix platforms, is now nearing the final stages of the deal. The acquisition is expected to be completed by September 4, 2026, pending customary closing conditions. Final voting results will be reported to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

John Sabino, CEO of LivePerson, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating, "We are pleased with the results of the special meeting and thank our shareholders for their support. We are now one step closer to joining forces with SoundHound AI, strengthening our position in conversational AI and better positioning the combined company to serve customers at scale." Sabino added that the company looks forward to working closely with the SoundHound AI team to finalize the transaction and realize significant value creation for shareholders.

LivePerson is traded on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, and its stock has seen a significant increase of 65.17% over the past month.
