Warm Banana Shake Recipe Offers Cozy Dessert Alternative
A recipe for a warm, thick banana shake with vanilla and cinnamon is being shared, described as a comforting drink perfect for cooler days, almost like a dessert in a glass. The recipe is presented as a way to catch up on celebrating World Banana Day, which passed last week.
Ingredients include 500 ml of milk, two bananas, 215 grams of brown sugar, 60 grams of soft, mild cheese, half a teaspoon of vanilla extract, one cinnamon stick, and a pinch of ground cinnamon for serving.
Preparation involves peeling and slicing the bananas. Milk, sugar, banana pieces, and the cinnamon stick are combined in a pot, brought to a boil, and cooked for about 10 minutes. After removing the cinnamon stick, the cheese and vanilla extract are added, and the mixture is heated until the cheese dissolves. The mixture is then blended until smooth using an immersion blender or a standard blender.
The shake is served in glasses, sprinkled with ground cinnamon.
