Tom Holland Appears to Confirm Secret Marriage Rumors About Zendaya
Tom Holland has addressed, for the first time, long-running rumors that he and Zendaya secretly married, and his remarks appeared to strongly suggest the wedding really happened. In a new Esquire interview for the July-August issue, he was asked about fake AI wedding images of the couple that spread on social media and drew more than 10 million likes. Holland said his grandmother saw the pictures and thought she had missed the wedding.
When asked whether he had to calm down other relatives as well, Holland replied, “No, because everybody was there.” He still would not discuss the ceremony itself, adding, “That is all you’ll get on the subject.”
Speculation intensified after Zendaya appeared with a diamond ring at the Golden Globes in January 2025. The couple, known for protecting their privacy, never publicly addressed the matter directly. In March, Zendaya’s close friend and stylist Law Roach fueled the rumors when he said in an interview, “The wedding already happened, you missed it,” and later confirmed it was “very true.” Zendaya also did not firmly deny the reports when she spoke on Jimmy Kimmel’s show about AI-generated fake images circulating online.
Holland also spoke warmly about his relationship with Zendaya, whom he calls “Z.” He said their work can be very stressful, making it important to have “a stable relationship that can stand the test of time.” He added that they support each other in ways no one else can, because only they understand that life, and said, “I found my person. She is my best friend, and I am the happiest I have ever been when I am with her.”
