Man Critically Injured in Shooting Incident in Nazareth Area

A 26-year-old man sustained critical injuries early Thursday morning following a shooting incident in the town of Reineh, near Nazareth. Emergency medical services received a report at 2:42 AM and provided the victim with life-saving medical treatment at the scene before transporting him to the Italian Hospital in Nazareth. Medical teams reported the man was conscious but suffered penetrating and serious injuries to various parts of his body. Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances, suspecting a criminal motive, though no arrests have been made.

The incident occurs amidst a surge in organized crime in the Nazareth area. On Wednesday evening, three people were killed in separate shooting incidents within approximately two hours. In one incident, two young men were killed in a double homicide while inside their car, with investigators finding a suspicious vehicle nearby believed to have been used in the crime. In a second incident, a man around 25 years old was killed after sustaining critical penetrating injuries.

These latest fatalities bring the total number of victims of crime and violence in the Arab community to 157 since the beginning of the year. The report highlights ongoing criticism of the police and government's perceived failure to curb rising crime, with accusations of incompetence and complicity, while perpetrators reportedly continue to evade justice.
