Supreme Court Rules Election Committee to Decide on Voter App Use

Israel's Supreme Court has ruled that the Central Elections Committee, not a single judge, must decide on the use of the 'Elector' application during elections. The court accepted the Likud party's position, proposing that the full committee deliberate on the app, which allows parties to receive voter identification data on election day. The three-judge panel suggested this course of action to the parties involved, stating that if an agreement could not be reached, an order nisi would be issued. The judges emphasized that Judge Solberg was not authorized to make such a decision independently, hence the proposal for the entire committee to weigh in.
