Nicole Raidman Re-enters Political Arena, Slams MK Tally Gottlieb
Socialite and businesswoman Nicole Raidman has re-entered the political fray after a year of silence, launching a sharp online attack against Likud MK Tally Gottlieb. Raidman, a known supporter of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a close acquaintance of his wife Sara, took to social media to criticize Gottlieb following the MK's public remarks about Netanyahu, his associates, and his son Yair.
The controversy stems from internal Likud party disputes after Gottlieb was demoted to a lower spot on the party's electoral list. Gottlieb had accused the Prime Minister and his staff of undermining her chances and suggested she might leave the party, even stating she would not allow herself to be "trampled."
Raidman, in a series of Instagram stories, directly addressed Gottlieb, questioning her authority to issue ultimatums to the Prime Minister and suggesting Gottlieb was "very confused." Raidman also commented on Gottlieb's public persona, advising her to adopt a more restrained and statesmanlike tone, reserving "vivid colors" for when they are truly needed.
Raidman emphasized that her return to political commentary was not a calculated move or a funded campaign, stating, "After a year of not posting about politics... I can no longer hold back. I have a lot to say." She invited followers who disagreed with her views to unfollow her, adding that she has "a lot of criticism for everyone."
In addition to targeting Gottlieb, Raidman also extended her criticism to Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman, despite his role as godfather to her son. She posted his picture and strongly criticized him, indicating that in her view, no one is immune from her political commentary.
