Motie Karpel Praises Right-Wing Union of Smotrich and Feiglin

Motie Karpel, a co-founder of the Jewish Leadership movement alongside Moshe Feiglin, has publicly endorsed the recent political alliance between Bezalel Smotrich and Moshe Feiglin. Karpel expressed his support and congratulations for the agreement, which sees Feiglin returning to the political arena through a joint list with Smotrich's Religious Zionism party.

Reflecting on their long history, Karpel noted that he and Feiglin, along with other partners, established Jewish Leadership exactly 30 years ago. He acknowledged that while they have walked together for many years, they have also been apart for an equal amount of time. Karpel admitted to having significant personal and ideological criticisms of Feiglin over the years, but stated that Feiglin has largely remained true to their original goal of presenting a religious alternative for the country's leadership.

Karpel specifically welcomed Feiglin's potential entry into the next Knesset, calling him an important voice with a significant message for the Israeli public. He also commented on the union with Bezalel Smotrich, stating that while he has also had criticisms of Smotrich, he now congratulates him. Karpel believes Smotrich and Feiglin complement each other in many ways, even if the current union is primarily technical and political. He concluded by stating that while he is not necessarily planning to vote for them, he is certainly supportive and wishes them success.
