Mesh Payments launches automated supplier payment system in Israel
Israeli fintech Mesh Payments has begun operating in Israel with a platform that fully automates supplier payments, from receiving an invoice to executing the transfer. The company said this capability has existed in the U.S. market for several years, but until now no platform had made it available to Israeli companies.
The launch was enabled by a payment-services license Mesh received from the Israel Securities Authority. Mesh Payments was founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Oded Zehavi and has raised about $123 million to date.
The company says it serves more than 1,500 companies in over 40 countries, including Eon, Global-e and Corologix. Mesh said automated supplier payments are only the first step in bringing its platform to Israel and that it plans to expand its financial-services offering for business customers.
Zehavi called the move part of a broader strategy. “This is the first stage of a strategic process we are leading,” he said. “In the U.S., companies already manage all their financial activity outside the traditional bank, through technology platforms that understand their business. We want to bring this to Israeli companies. Automated supplier payments are only the beginning.”
