Beitar Jerusalem Owner Expresses Faith in Squad and Coach

Ahead of the new season and the traditional Rosh Hashanah toast, Beitar Jerusalem owner Barak Abramov expressed confidence in his team's current squad and coaching staff. "I believe in our players and we have the best coach in Israel," Abramov stated at the event, which was also attended by Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion.

Abramov, marking his fifth year as owner, highlighted the club's progress and vision, acknowledging those who joined him in the endeavor, specifically mentioning Kfir Edri and Almog Cohen. He recalled a similar pre-season gathering last year after a loss, where he urged the team to look forward to a great season, a sentiment he echoed this year, expressing no doubt about achieving success.

Addressing concerns about a lack of new signings, Abramov asserted that the team quietly acquired players while others were inactive. He indicated that the current squad is sufficient, with perhaps only one more addition needed. He also thanked Mayor Lion for his support, contrasting it with his experience as an owner of another club in Tel Aviv.

Mayor Lion emphasized Beitar Jerusalem's significance to the city, calling it part of Jerusalem's soul. He acknowledged the team's challenging start to the season but urged them to look ahead, expressing confidence in their ability to play with heart and soul in their upcoming match against Hapoel Tel Aviv. Lion wished the team success and a return to the top of the league standings.
