Channel 14 Host Dana Ron Surprised with Birthday Tributes on Air

During a live broadcast of "Morning Edition" on Israel's Channel 14 on Wednesday, host Dana Ron received a surprise birthday celebration organized by colleague Dor Azrad. Azrad revealed a secret operation involving Ron's closest family members, who appeared in a touching video with birthday wishes.

Ron's children expressed their love and appreciation, with one daughter saying, "Mommy, you're amazing, how lucky we are that you were born and how lucky we are that you are our mother." Her son added, "Mom, happy birthday my life, I love you," and another daughter concluded, "Who are we without you?" Her husband also sent blessings, and the entire family together conveyed, "We love you, you are life in our hearts."

The surprise continued in the studio as the panel sang "Happy Birthday" and a crew member presented Ron with a festive cake and a large bouquet of flowers. Overwhelmed, Ron thanked Azrad for the covert coordination with her family, remarking, "I'm going to cry now. I just wrote a text yesterday that I feel the heavens will throw a huge bouquet at me, and here it arrived. It's simply a beautiful bouquet."

Ron also expressed gratitude to her "Channel 14 family," calling the station "a great light in my life, beyond the good it does for the people of Israel." When asked why she chose to work on her birthday, she explained, "They asked me why I'm coming on my birthday, and I answered because I'm doing what I love most, being here."
