Naftali Bennett Calls for Unity in Right-Wing Bloc, Blames Netanyahu for 'Blood Libel'

Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, now chairman of the "BeYachad" party, stated in an interview that he is working to unite the right-wing bloc, asserting that ego and "nonsense" should be set aside to achieve a significant victory. Bennett, speaking at the "Decisive Moment: Democracy and Society" conference hosted by Ynet and "Yedioth Ahronoth" in collaboration with the Israel Democracy Institute, declared his ongoing efforts over the past year to foster this unity.

He believes that a broad union within the bloc will prevent internal conflicts and setbacks, stating, "As I say, I am convinced that a large union in the bloc will prevent all the internal skirmishes." Bennett also addressed the conspiracy theory of an "internal betrayal" on October 7th, vehemently calling it a "blood libel" intentionally propagated by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Bennett accused Netanyahu and his associates of initiating this "terrible and awful" narrative in the initial days following the Hamas attack. He suggested this conspiracy was a deliberate tactic to deflect blame and shape public perception.
