Musicians and Rabbi Release Song for Days of Atonement

The musical group "HaYotzrim" (The Creators) and Rabbi Ronen Shaulov have released a new joint song titled "Lo Tish'ar Oti Levad" (You Won't Leave Me Alone) in anticipation of the Days of Atonement. The collaboration stems from a personal connection and shared faith, merging a song about forgiveness and faith with a message of spiritual strengthening from Rabbi Shaulov.

The song centers on the theme of seeking forgiveness and maintaining a connection with God, even during times of pain, hardship, and exhaustion. It also explores self-awareness and the understanding that individuals are not alone, even when they feel distant. Rabbi Shaulov contributes a special segment addressing the relationships within the Jewish people, urging unity and genuine love.

"My sons and daughters, my brothers and sisters, beloved Jewish people, it is our duty to love and respect one another," Rabbi Shaulov states in his part. He likens the desire for national unity to a father's wish to see his children united and loving. "This is the will of our Father in Heaven, that we love with true love and never forget: gratuitous love costs nothing, but it has the power to change everything," he adds.

The song aims to place forgiveness at its core, coinciding with the period of the High Holidays, which are associated with repentance. Beyond seeking forgiveness, the track delves into faith, companionship, and coping with feelings of a broken and weary heart. According to the creators, "Lo Tish'ar Oti Levad" was written with the intention of connecting personal and public messages, moving from individual struggles with faith to Rabbi Shaulov's call for unity, mutual respect, and unconditional love.
