Hundreds Protest IDF Soldiers' Imprisonment Over Refusal to Serve with Female Medic

Hundreds of religious seminary students protested on Tuesday evening following the imprisonment of Golani Brigade soldiers who refused to serve in a Merkava tank alongside a female medic. The protest led to the blocking of the String Bridge for approximately an hour and a half.

Some participants carried signs stating, "Refusing orders for orders that contradict the Torah." The soldiers were reportedly confined to a military prison after refusing to comply with the order to serve with the female medic in the tank. The incident highlights ongoing tensions within the IDF regarding religious observance and integration of women in combat roles.
