Hapoel Haifa Expected to Field Strong Squad Against Hapoel Be'er Sheva
Hapoel Haifa is set to face Hapoel Be'er Sheva in a postponed match from the first round of the Israeli Premier League. The team, which drew its opening game 0-0 against Hapoel Tel Aviv, will be looking to secure points against the reigning champions. Two weeks prior, Hapoel Haifa defeated Hapoel Be'er Sheva 4-0 in the Toto Cup, though Be'er Sheva fielded a reserve squad due to Champions League qualifiers.
Hapoel Haifa's coach, Haim Silvas, is expected to make no more than two changes to the lineup. Ivan Kritzak will be suspended and replaced by George Diba in central defense. Wahib Habiballah has returned to fitness and is competing with Yead Gonen for a spot on the right wing. Shi Elias is slated to start against his former club.
William Agada, who is not yet fit for a full 90 minutes, is anticipated to come off the bench. The club has also decided to sign trialist Chikana Diakite for the upcoming season, pending final approval from owner Yoav Katz.
