Israeli Basketball Team Herzliya to Play Home Games in Germany
Bnei Herzliya, an Israeli basketball team preparing for the 2026/2027 FIBA Champions League season, has announced that its designated home games against German team Telekom Bonn will be held in Bonn, Germany. The decision, made jointly by both clubs, stems from a desire to ensure games are played with fans in attendance, fostering a strong sporting atmosphere.
The two clubs confirmed that both regular season matchups, scheduled for November 4 and November 17, will take place at the Telekom Dome in Bonn. This arrangement is contingent on FIBA approval. Should FIBA authorize the return of games to Israel, Herzliya's home game on November 17 could potentially be moved back to Israel.
Both Herzliya and Bonn expressed gratitude for the cooperation that facilitated this arrangement, acknowledging the Israeli and German Basketball Associations and FIBA for their support. They anticipate competitive games played in the spirit of sportsmanship.
Bnei Herzliya and Telekom Bonn are competing in a group that also includes Porto and Joventut Badalona.
