Father Claims Son's Tattoos Cost Him Spot on Maccabi Haifa

Yehuda Hatuuel, father of aspiring footballer Rotem Hatuuel, publicly questioned Maccabi Haifa's decision not to sign his son, suggesting tattoos may have been a factor. Rotem Hatuuel is currently without a team after playing for Hapoel Haifa last season, where he scored three goals and assisted two others. He is also known for his time at Hapoel Be'er Sheva, where he scored 40 goals.

During Maccabi Haifa's 3-1 loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv on Monday, Yehuda Hatuuel expressed his frustration on social media. He wrote, "With all due modesty, 80% of the players don't have what you have in your legs. To think that... sorry, you have tattoos so you're not good enough for them. Israeli football at its finest."

Hatuuel believes his son possesses skills superior to most players in the league, stating that 80% of players lack the talent Rotem has in his legs. The father's comments highlight a perceived bias in Israeli football, where he implies physical appearance, specifically tattoos, might be unfairly influencing team selections over actual playing ability.
