Malen Scores Brace as Roma Dominates Lecce 4-0 in Serie A
AS Roma continued their stellar start to the Italian Serie A season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Lecce on Monday evening. The win, following an equally impressive 4-0 triumph over Fiorentina in the opening week, keeps Roma atop the league standings.
Dutch forward Donyell Malen was once again the star of the show, netting a brace to add to his hat-trick from the previous match. He has now scored five goals in just two games this season. Malen opened the scoring in the fourth minute after a defensive error and doubled Roma's lead in the 23rd minute with a skillful chip.
Matías Soulé extended Roma's advantage shortly after, scoring in the 25th minute. Youngster Rodrigo Mohr completed the rout in the second half with his first senior goal for the club, sealing the 4-0 scoreline.
Israeli midfielder Omri Glanzman was not included in the Lecce squad for the match.
