Malen Scores Brace as Roma Dominates Lecce 4-0 in Serie A
AS Roma continued their stellar start to the Italian Serie A season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Lecce on Monday evening. This marks Roma's second consecutive 4-0 win, following their opening-day triumph against Fiorentina.
Dutch forward Donyell Malen was once again the star of the show, netting a brace to add to his hat-trick from the previous match. Malen has now scored five goals in just two games this season. He opened the scoring in the fourth minute after a defensive error and doubled Roma's lead in the 23rd minute with an impressive chip.
Matías Soulé extended Roma's advantage shortly after Malen's second goal, making it 3-0. In the second half, young striker Rodrigo Mohr scored his first goal for the club, sealing the 4-0 scoreline.
Israeli player Omri Gandelman was part of the Lecce squad but did not feature in the match. Roma currently sits atop the league standings after the second round of fixtures.
