Lukashenko sharply attacks Israel over U.S.-Iran deal and Gaza war
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko launched a harsh attack on Israel in comments cited by the state news agency Belta, reacting to the agreement between the United States and Iran. He said the deal showed Israel’s “absolute dependence” on the United States.
Lukashenko then accused Israel of having sunk to unprecedented standing in the international community. “They have already achieved such a rating in the international community that there is nothing lower,” he said.
He also invoked the Holocaust in a highly inflammatory comparison, saying, “Look at history, what Holocaust can the Israelis speak of when they killed so many people, most of them women and children. They erased Gaza from the face of the earth.”
