Yisrael Beytenu Threatens Lawsuit Against Right-Wing Activist Over Defamation

The Yisrael Beytenu party and its leader, MK Avigdor Lieberman, have sent a legal warning letter to right-wing activist Rami Ben Yehuda, threatening a lawsuit over alleged defamatory statements. The party demands that Ben Yehuda remove a post he shared on X (formerly Twitter) within 24 hours, cease its distribution, and issue a retraction and apology.

Yisrael Beytenu claims Ben Yehuda's post recirculated accusations made by Yossi Kemisa, including claims of Lieberman's involvement in ordering a murder and committing serious criminal offenses. According to the letter, these allegations were previously litigated, and Kemisa was convicted in a criminal complaint filed against him in May 2025 for publishing falsehoods.

The warning letter states that if Ben Yehuda fails to comply, the party and Lieberman will pursue legal action for libel without further notice. Yisrael Beytenu issued a statement asserting that the era of spreading slander and lies without consequence is over, and those who engage in defamation will face legal repercussions.
