Bnei Sakhnin's Record Signing Suffers Season-Ending Injury

Bnei Sakhnin Football Club announced on Monday that their record signing, French defender Dimitri Kabeh, has suffered a severe knee injury. Kabeh tore his anterior cruciate ligament and damaged his meniscus, an injury that will sideline him for approximately eight to nine months, effectively ending his season.

Kabeh joined Bnei Sakhnin this past summer, becoming the most expensive transfer in the club's history. He signed a lucrative contract reportedly worth around 250,000 euros per season, a significant investment for the team.

Coach Yossi Abukasis had previously sought to sign Kabeh during his tenure at Maccabi Netanya, but the transfer did not materialize until now at Sakhnin.

With Kabeh out, the club is now actively searching the transfer market for a replacement defender. They have reportedly approached Beitar Jerusalem defender Uri Dahan, whom Abukasis previously coached.

Bnei Sakhnin has had a decent start to the season, drawing 0-0 with Maccabi Netanya and securing a 2-1 victory over Maccabi Petah Tikva in their last match. Their next game is against Beitar Jerusalem.
