Elderly Man Critically Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 3
A 70-year-old man sustained critical injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 near the Shapira Center. Emergency medical services responded to the scene after receiving a report at 9:52 AM.
Paramedics and EMTs provided medical treatment to the driver, who was found semi-conscious and trapped inside his vehicle. Rescue operations were conducted simultaneously with medical care.
The injured man was transported to Barzilai Hospital suffering from a severe head injury. "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a man in his 70s, semi-conscious and trapped in a vehicle after an accident," said MDA paramedic Itai Amar. "We provided him with medical treatment concurrently with rescue operations. He is suffering from a severe head injury and was evacuated in serious condition to the hospital."
