Trump: Without Me, Israel Would Have Disappeared

Former U.S. President Donald Trump stated in a Fox News interview that the United States will not allow Iran to obtain nuclear weapons under any circumstances. Trump asserted that Iran is the world's leading sponsor of terrorism and emphasized the severe impact of U.S. economic sanctions on the country, describing them as unprecedented financial blows.

Trump explained his rationale for the maximum pressure policy, countering potential criticisms by asking if people believed it was acceptable for Iran to possess nuclear weapons, which he characterized as weapons of mass destruction. He indicated he is seeking tangible results rather than formal diplomatic achievements, stating, "At the right point, either we win or they do something. But I don't care about winning, just winning. I don't need a signature on a piece of paper."

The former president also leveled serious accusations against the Iranian regime for its internal repression. He claimed that as of three months prior, the regime had killed 52,000 protesters, with significant additions to that number since. Trump further alleged that Iranian forces enter homes and shoot individuals who are not even demonstrating.

Highlighting the strategic importance of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear capability, Trump declared that without his presidency, Israel would have disappeared. He concluded that if Iran had nuclear weapons, "there probably wouldn't be an Israel and there wouldn't be a Middle East."
