Ran Danker Returns to Festigal Stage for Sixth Time

Singer and actor Ran Danker is set to participate in his sixth Festigal, the popular Israeli children's musical theater festival, for the upcoming "TOP SECRET" production. Danker described the reaction to his return as a mix of surprise and excitement, particularly from his daughters who are "hysterical" with enthusiasm.

Danker cited his love for the Festigal and its organizers as a primary reason for his repeated involvement. He also enjoys the opportunity to express different facets of his personality, connect with a younger audience, and embrace the competitive spirit of the show. A significant draw for this year is his role as the villain, which he called his "biggest dream."

Despite his enthusiasm, Danker admitted that each year he tells himself it will be his last Festigal appearance. However, he consistently finds himself drawn back, attributing it to the festival's continuous growth and evolution. "Every year I say I won't return, and every year I return," he confessed.

Reflecting on his past performances, Danker holds a special fondness for the "Superheroes Festigal," where he played "The Flash." He recalled it as a particularly funny experience, with strong connections to the cast and a time when "all the stars aligned." He also fondly remembered humorous moments with the comedy trio "Ma Kashar" and his most recent Festigal appearance alongside Eliana Tidhar.

When asked about an unofficial competition with Tidhar for the title of "Festigal Icon," Danker playfully deferred, stating, "I'll leave it to Eliana to be more iconic at the Festigals." As he prepares for "TOP SECRET," Danker finds himself in a familiar position, returning after having previously decided to stop, suggesting the magic of the stage, music, and people involved remains a powerful draw.
