Maccabi Netanya Midfielder Calls Top-Tier Playoff Berth a 'Must'

Maccabi Netanya midfielder Nadav Nidam stated that reaching the upper playoff bracket in the Israeli Premier League is not just an achievement but a "must" for the team this season. Nidam made these remarks following Netanya's impressive 4-1 victory over Beitar Jerusalem on Saturday.

Nidam, who joined Maccabi Netanya recently, expressed his satisfaction with finding a stable "home" at the club, contrasting it with previous seasons where he felt uncertainty about his future. He reflected positively on his time at Hapoel Jerusalem and Hapoel Petah Tikva, expressing gratitude to all his former clubs.

The decision to join Maccabi Netanya was driven by the club's progress under its new ownership and the guidance of coach Roni Levy. Nidam described Levy as a coach who pushes players effectively and in the right measure.

Looking ahead, Nidam emphasized the need for the team to focus on each game individually, particularly in securing points against teams that adopt defensive strategies. He also highlighted the strong connection he feels with his midfield partners, Maor Levy and Basem Zra'iri, praising the quality of all his teammates.
