Singer Noa Kirel Discusses Motherhood Dreams and Career Demands
Pop star Noa Kirel is set to make her sixth appearance at the upcoming Hanukkah "Festigal" event, titled "TOP SECRET Festigal." Kirel, who first performed at the festival at age 17 and is now 25 and married to soccer player Daniel Peretz, reflected on her return to the popular show.
Despite previously stating she wouldn't participate again after a challenging previous year, Kirel admitted, "Somehow, every year anew, I get drawn in because there's a magic to it. The last Festigal I did was very challenging and I said I wasn't coming back, and look at me, I have no backbone and I'm here." She will star alongside other Israeli performers including Eden Ben Zaken and Ran Danker.
Kirel also spoke about her long-distance relationship with Peretz, acknowledging the difficulties but emphasizing his understanding of her demanding career. "It's tough because there are many moments he misses, just as I miss things," she said. "Someone with a career of my magnitude can understand what I'm dealing with and can contain the situation."
Looking ahead, Kirel expressed her strong desire to become a mother. "Being a mother is among my biggest dreams," she stated. However, she stressed the need for careful planning due to her and Peretz's significant careers. "We need to do it right and smart. I don't want to have a child quickly and then not be with him. I need to prepare myself mentally that I'm taking a break from my career, and that's a process. I believe it will happen at the right time."
