Herzl Eliyahu, Longtime Driver for Mercaz HaRav Rabbis, Passes Away

Mercaz HaRav Yeshiva announced the passing of Herzl Eliyahu, a taxi driver who for many years transported the yeshiva's head, Rabbi Avraham Shapira, along with other rabbis affiliated with the institution. The yeshiva expressed deep sorrow in its statement, saying, "Blessed is the True Judge. With great sadness, we announce the passing of Herzl Eliyahu, of blessed memory." Eliyahu was closely associated with the yeshiva's rabbis through his work as their driver, particularly noted for his years driving Rabbi Shapira. The announcement also highlighted that he provided transportation for several other rabbis from Mercaz HaRav over the years.
