Yedioth Ahronoth Journalist Accuses Haaretz of Spreading False Speculations Against Netanyahu

Ben Dror Yemini, a journalist at Yedioth Ahronoth, sharply criticized the Haaretz newspaper for allegedly spreading false speculations linking Yedioth's front-page content after the Likud primaries to legal interests of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Yedioth's publisher Arnon Mozes. Yemini accused Haaretz journalists of behaving like toxic online commentators and using Yedioth's coverage to push misleading narratives. He pointed out that the day after the controversial front page, Yedioth published a critical response article on its first page directly addressing the claims, and the editor-in-chief clarified to staff that the initial front page was a mistake. Yemini emphasized that Yedioth Ahronoth maintains complete freedom for diverse opinions without editorial dictation, contrasting this with Haaretz, where he claims the publisher's agenda dominates the entire newspaper. While acknowledging that some content in Yedioth sometimes frustrates him, Yemini stressed that the ability to write freely without a dictated agenda is a defining feature of Yedioth Ahronoth's platform.
