Rare 1990 Recording Reveals Cantor Naftali Hershtik Leading Selichot in Jerusalem

A rare historical recording from Elul 1990 has surfaced, capturing the late cantor Naftali Hershtik leading the Selichot prayers at the Great Synagogue in Jerusalem. At that time, Hershtik served as the chief cantor of the synagogue. The recording features Hershtik's lyrical tenor voice guiding the congregation through the early Selichot prayers. Alongside him is his son, Netanel, who was only 12 years old at the time. Both father and son can be heard together in this preserved audio from the 1990 Selichot service.
