Electric Scooter Rider Critically Injured in Jerusalem After Hitting Trash Bin

An electric scooter rider was critically injured Thursday evening in a traffic accident on HaMag Street in the Romema neighborhood of Jerusalem. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah arrived at the scene to find the rider without pulse or breathing and immediately began resuscitation efforts. According to eyewitnesses, the rider collided with a trash bin while riding. Dr. Yigal Shoshan, a volunteer doctor with United Hatzalah, and paramedic Zaki Yahav reported providing initial medical assistance and performing CPR at the scene. The rider was then transported to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in critical condition, with resuscitation continuing en route and upon arrival.
