Daniel Steupin and Cast Reveal New Season of 'Kupa Rishit' and Upcoming Festigal Show

The iconic Israeli children's event Festigal is returning with a fresh cast and new themes, featuring stars like Eliana Tidhar, Daniel Steupin, Shahar Taboch, Idan Talem, Ran Danker, Noa Kirel, and guest singer Eden Ben Zaken. Daniel Steupin, known for his role as Anatoli in the popular series "Kupa Rishit," shared that the highly anticipated sixth season of the show is set to premiere in September. He expressed excitement about performing at Festigal for the first time alongside his longtime collaborator Yaniv Suissa, highlighting their decade-long friendship and creative partnership.

Steupin described the transition from acting to singing on Israel's biggest stage as thrilling, noting that he and Suissa are contributing to the songwriting process. He also reflected on the show's evolution from a small-budget series to a multi-season success with a film adaptation, emphasizing the relief and creative freedom that comes with well-established characters.

Eliana Tidhar, returning to Festigal for her 14th time, spoke emotionally about the event feeling like home and paid tribute to the late producer Miki Feld with a heartfelt performance. The 2024 Festigal storyline centers on a group of young agents infiltrating a music competition in "Pop City" to thwart a dangerous plot, requiring them to become K-pop stars despite lacking singing and dancing skills. Ticket sales for the show will open on August 30 at 1 p.m.
